mistahfabI was really, truly hoping with everything that I had that the whole, “let’s make a song about a social networking site” shit was over once MySpace collapsed, and especially after that terrible T-PainWhat’s Yo MySpace” track.  As the social networking globe has once again revolved, Twitter has totally revolutionized the way musicians interact with their fans.  Anyone that’s jumped on the Twitter bandwagon has probably read Diddy‘s random rants & raves (including his 5-hour tantric sex episodes.. really, Diddy IS LOCKED IN).  It’s interesting, sometimes boring, and mostly a nice way to waste time while you’re punching a clock and should be actually working instead of reading about what Ashton Kutcher had for breakfast.

Leave it to Mistah F.A.B., an Oakland native who is signed to Atlantic Records (he’s also a member of Mac Dre‘s label, Thizz Entertainment), to add his contribution to social networking songs.  While I figured I would absolutely hate this track, I was only about half right in my assumptions – the track is kind of catchy, but I don’t really think a song about Twitter would inspire me to shake some ass at the club and I can’t really see listening to this track outside of posting it for you all to check (Let’s make a bet – how long until everyone’s using the term ‘Twiggas?’).  Furthermore, using Twitter as a way to meet women is just plain creepy, pretty damn geeky, and definitely not romantic.  On another note,  can someone make a POPULARLEMONADE track?  I mean, if ya’ll rappers are on some “free website promotion via rap song” shit…
