Jay-Z :: D.O.A. – Death of Autotune
Jay-Z‘s had the internet going bonkers over this track. I can’t say that I’m impressed, but let’s face it – Jay‘s pushing 40, he’s spent the last 15+ years building his empire and marrying whore ass Beyonce, so I figure he’s more preoccupied with getting some paper and some tail than truly making quality music. The beat’s pretty whatever. I guess I expected some undeniable heat, and this track is pretty mediocre. Let’s hope Blueprint 3, which is due on September 11th (the 8th anniversary of the release of Blueprint – as well as the 8th anniversary of 9/11), will bring some fuego. Guest spots include Andre 3000, Young Jeezy (really?) and Nas. Can we expect a 2009 Bonnie and Clyde / Beyonce apperance? No thank you.
