Jay-Z vs. Bill O’Reilly
Bill O’Reilly loves hip hop. Seriously – most of his material since the launch of The O’Reilly Factor in 1996 has aimed to revolutionize liberal thought, which has included attacks against hip hop artists such as Cam’Ron, Nas, Ludacris, Young Jeezy, and Jay-Z. Bill’s most memorable attack has been on Luda as he called for a boycott of Pepsi due to his advertising contract with the corporation. Luda’s contract was cancelled, even though he has also been a recipient of various humanitarian awards for his work for charities focused on AIDS and literacy. In addition, he is the founder of the Ludacris Foundation, which is an organization for local youth that encourages economic development in high risk neighborhoods.
This is not the first run in Bill & Jay have had. Earlier this year, Bill & Dennis Miller spent a close to 8-minute segment criticizing the way that Jay & Young Jeezy addressed their fans in regards to Obama in expressing their excitement the evening before his inauguration.
Last night, Factor viewers were in for a special commentary by O’Reilly in response to Jay-Z’s lyrics to Off That (This ain’t black versus white, my nigga, we off that / Please tell Bill O’Reilly to fall back). After playing a clip of the song, O’Reilly comments:
“A regular Otis Redding, isn’t he,” O’Reilly responded.
While this is nearly tame for Bill when confronted with hip hop artists, you can’t help but think that O’Reilly actually likes the attention. With nothing but a few words as a response, it’s clear to me that jackass Bill just wants to further anger his loyal follower mob for no apparent reason. What the fuck is the point of playing the clip with such few words in response? Check out the clip below. I’m sure Jay appreciates the free publicity… By the way, Otis Redding is incomparable to anyone else, anywhere, in any period in time.
Just to fuel the anti-Bill fire a bit, check out his statement on Michael Jackson he made shortly after his death was announced:
