I had read about the collaboration between women’s streetwear designer Hellz Bellz and Vans for a minute now, and was half-anxious to see exactly what would shake out when the design was finally released.

I can’t say that I’m crazy about the super flat Sophie or the high-top Hadley whatsoever.  I think the flat may be alright if it wasn’t for the awkward lace and strap together (really, I’d probably rock it if it wasn’t so gold, there weren’t holes in it, and it didn’t have old man laces… actually, I think it would have to be a new shoe all together).  The high top is alright, but the lack of lace grommets reminds me of construction boots, which takes away from the sexiness of the smooth leather and the heel zipper.

I think I will pass.
