Here’s what I really dig about Red Bull: they have been supportive at all sources of music from the dj to the producer and back around to the traditional party rocker.  The format for the 2010 Red Bull Thre3Style competition is unique and intriguing – djs have fifteen minutes to mix three different genres of music together to accomplish the ultimate party rock set.  I can’t say that I’ve ever heard of anything similar and to the global level that this competition is extending.  Event information for Denver is listed to the left and the finals will be held in my hometown in October.

Even better?  In Denver, Neil Armstrong will be in the motherfucking building.

Early predictions:  Amen and Sounds Supreme in the finals.

Red Bull Thre3style is an international event series, and will feature 14 events across the United States, culminating in the U.S. National Finals in Denver on October 7.

In addition to Denver, cities participating include: Charlotte, Dallas, Nashville, Birmingham, Orlando, Phoenix, Miami, Houston, Pittsburgh, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, St. Louis and Cincinnati. The winner from the U.S. National Finals will advance to compete in the Global Finals in Paris, France, where they will compete against the winners from twelve countries: Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Columbia, Ecuador, France, Japan, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
