I’ve been bumping N.E.R.D.‘S first album, In Search of… for a solid month straight. I just can’t keep it off of the iPod whatsoever… It’s all I want to listen to lately, for some reason. My friends are sick of hearing it, but somehow it sounds so much better to me now then when it dropped Pharrell is nothing short of a demigod when it comes to production and perhaps even the definition of suave. Yeah, I guess I have a semi-crush on the dude, HOLLER.
Check out the Diary of N.E.R.D. below, which apparently wasn’t released on American MTV.
Also, check out Pharrell’s advice to new artists:
I would probably build a site, a home for my music, a destination where people could come and see me and what I do and what I’m thinking about. And then I’d probably assemble a team of kids that would go and bug the hell out of advertising agencies and marketing companies to use my music. It’s not that it’s necessarily the day and age of independent artists and independent record companies. There’s a lot to be said for the majors too. The majors still have a purse that the average kid doesn’t have. But what a kid has that everyone else has is that same ability to market yourself and get yourself out there. – Pharrell Williams

I love this Rach, Pharrell is dope and his whole direction is clear and fresh. You really hear something new, each time you go back to each one of his albums.
