About Ear Attent:
Nick Hernandez, also known as Ear Attent, first touched the wheels of steel in 1998 after hearing a Dj Rectangle mixtape. In the past twelve years, he has shared the stage with the likes of Input, Saytre, WhyGee, Dj Vajra, Cysko Rokwel, Talib Kweli, LuckyiAm, and Souls of Mischief at venues across Colorado and beyond, including a stint at SXSW 2010.
A true natural, Eat Attent’s passion has lead him to a full-time career in music and is a member of Colorado’s own Fameless Entertainment.
About Lazy Eyez:
The DJ is often referred to as the backbone of hip-hop and for the last 10 years DJ Lazy Eyez has built his career based on this idea.
DJ Lazy Eyez got his start becoming involved with nationally recognized independent college radio station Radio1190am and the legendary Basementalism Underground Hip-Hop Radio show. As he puts it, Lazy “went to school for a bachelor’s degree in political science and ended up also getting a PhD in Hip-Hop”. As the General Manager of Radio1190 and co-host / lead producer of Basementalism he gained firsthand knowledge of the music business, interviewed countless hip-hop notables, and participated in throwing countless concerts and events.
Lazy would utilize this experience to self produce and promote hip-hop events, b-boy battles, club nights, and concerts including the 2005 & 2006 Colorado DMC DJ Battles, and the Scion DJ Sessions (featuring DJ Revolution, Prince Paul, DJ Premier, DJ Muggs, 9th Wonder, and more). It was during this period Lazy would venture on into the world of DJing,
holding residencies at club nights across Colorado from Colorado Springs to Fort Collins. In 2006, the readers of The Westword voted him best hip-hop DJ.
Despite his successes, Lazy would go on a brief “retirement” from 2007 to 2009. However, his love for hip-hop would never fade and in 2009 Lazy made a return to Denver, CO.
Today, Lazy continues to contribute to the burgeoning Colorado hip-hop scene. As a member and officer of Hip-Hop Congress
Denver, he has been instrumental in helping usher in a new era of young hip-hoppers through free all ages community events, b-boy & b-girl jams, and workshops. In addition, he has been working with Colorado based hip-hop group “The Boombox Saints” (St. Nic, D-Roccamus
Rhyme, DJ Discord, and extended family) serving as their executive producer and show DJ.
Musically, DJ Lazy Eyez combines a strong balance of staying on top of musical trends, injecting the classic source material of soul and funk that shaped hip-hop, and unearthing new musical treasures. At the end of the day however, he is a party rocking DJ with a strong emphasis on
hip-hop, b-boy breaks, funk, and soul.
Whether championing new music, DJing, hosting, putting together community building events, or acting as a “hip-hop consultant”, DJ Lazy Eyez continues to try to do the damn thing.

About MU$A:
DJ MU$A is an innovator, tastemaker, and connoisseur of the arts. Whether expanding the common theme between music and fashion through sneakers or displaying the magic of selection through audience understanding, Mu$a covers all aspects of the art form.
New Jersey born and Denver, CO raised, Mu$a took to music early on, playing the drums, guitar and saxophone. At the age of 13, the turntables became his most treasured instruments. By the age of 18, Musa was participating in battles and selling mixtapes on the streets of Denver.
Over the next several years, DJ Mu$a became a fixture in the Colorado club and rave circuit as the ultimate mixologist. Mu$a was frequently asked to open for national touring acts like The Roots, Common and The Pharcyde.
Attending the Institute of Audio Research in New York City, he received a sound engineer certification in 1996. During an audition at CBGB’s in Manhattan, world renowned poet Saul Williams recognized Mu$a’s defined ear for music and talent on the turntables.
Mu$a went on to become the poet’s DJ and band leader, making a television debut with Williams on HBO’s the Chris Rock Show. In 2001, Mu$a began work on Amethyst Rock Star, the debut album from Saul Williams, alongside legendary producer Rick Rubin, singer/songwriter Esthero, guitarist Tom Morello, and drummer, Chad Smith, of Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Along with contributing arrangements, programming and production for the entire project, Mu$a produced the first single, “Penny For a Thought” as well as “Grippo” from Williams’ 2004 follow-up self titled album.
Powered by an innate ability to determine both style and the substance, “Shoe Shine,” one of the largest sneaker exhibitions and competitions in the country, was born. Major sponsors of the Colorado based event include NIKE, NIKE Snowboard, Vitamin Water, Indy Ink, and radio station KS 107.5 and many others.
The focus of “Shoe Shine’ is to celebrate the connection in music and sneakers as a tool of individual expression. In conjunction with several of Colorado’s top artists, DJ Mu$a executes a platform for the study of visual trends yearly with “Shoe Shine.”
Staying in tuned with the progression of his audience, Mu$a ushered in a weekly Hip Hop event in Denver called “Refresh Fridays.” In 2005 the event welcomed national recording artists such as Slick Rick, Ghostface Killah, Pete Rock, Talib Kweli, amongst others.
Mu$a kept his finger on the pulse of the live performance scene by playing national events, the Annual Black Ski Summit, Burning Man Festival and the Monolith Festival at Red Rocks. Mu$a maintains a strong presence at NYC hotspots, Gallery Bar, Ella, and The Hudson Hotel, not to mention a plethora of clubs and venues in Denver.
Mu$a has also just been nominated by the Westword as best non-traditional DJ and was featured as one of Denver’s most influential artists in May 2010’s 303 Magazine music edition.
Mu$a is currently working on a full album of original music. His most recent work, “Techno Savvy,” a mixtape of epic proportions, showcases his varied taste in music and mixing abilities as he blends Hip Hop classics with 70’s soul and 80’s pop.
