iPad dj station (concept)
Remember when the iPod first came out and a plethora of audio companies released iPod related dj equipment? Welcome to 2010, which seems to be no different than 2001.
the modern dj is most likely to be seen playing music form their ipod or laptop, but this concept by psychic factory aims to bring dj-ing to the latest digital platform, the ipad. the concept dj station uses a standard setup for a single unit with a large dock in the center for the flat-screened ipad. while the unit itself has scratchpads, cross fader and all the regular buttons and knobs, the ipad adds a whole new dimension of interactivity. songs can be fiddled with to an even greater degree or the dj can add their own music on top using a keyboard or instrument setup. although it is just a concept, this kind of device will no doubt soon be a reality.
